Regular Season Round 9: Dubrava - Zadar 67-82

Leader Zadar delivered the seventh victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Dubrava (2-6) 82-67 in Zagreb. They outrebounded Dubrava 45-32 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Chinanu Onuaku (208-96, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Duje Brala (196-3) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Zadar's coach Veljko Mrsic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Danko Brankovic (215-0, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Luksa Buljevic (200-0, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Dubrava. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Zadar. Despite that victory Zadar went down to second position due to points difference. Dubrava at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Zadar will play against KK Zabok (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dubrava will play against Split (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
