There was no surprise when 15th ranked Al-Qazeres (1-8) was outleveled on the road by top-ranked Valencia (10-0) 88-56. Valencia shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Australian guard Rebecca Allen (188-92, agency: LBM Management) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Belgian center Celeste Trahan-Davis (186-85, college: ECSU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Valencia players scored in double figures. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Greek forward Mariella Fasoula (196-97, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Wasserman) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Cypriot-Greek swingman Eleanna Christinaki (183-96, college: Maryland) scored 17 points. Valencia have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avenida. Al-Qazeres lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Zamarat. Valencia will play against Araski (#11) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
