The game in was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Team Cali (6-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Storm (3-8). Team Cali defeated Storm 85-73 on Thursday. Team Cali looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for international Michaell Jackson (190-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Italian forward Alexis Elsener (196-88, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Team Cali players scored in double figures. Dominican forward Jose Familia (201-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Dominican forward Juan-Miguel Suero (196-93) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Team Cali moved-up to second place, which they share with Bucaros. Storm lost their fifth game in a row. Storm at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Team Cali will meet bottom-ranked Piratas (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Storm will play against Condores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
