There was an upset when higher ranked Lowicz (5-3) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Wisla Krakow (2-5) 107-94 on Saturday. Wisla Krakow made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Wisla Krakow looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Michal Chrabota (196-99) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Artur Wlodarczyk (182-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Wisla Krakow's coach Piotr Piecuch used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Maciej Kucharek (204-93, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 27 points and Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-94) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. Wisla Krakow moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Lowicz dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Wisla Krakow will face higher ranked Lancut (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lowicz will play against WKK Wroclaw (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
