Regular Season Round 7: Gimbasket - Nysa 86-66

Everything could happen in Wroclaw at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Gimbasket and 10th ranked Nysa had identical 1-4 record. This time Gimbasket used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Nysa 86-66 on Saturday night. Gimbasket forced 19 Nysa turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Rafal Chwastyk (188-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. Forward Pawel Galczynski (195-98) helped adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. Four Gimbasket players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Adam Cichon (203-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Jan Fedorski (192-98) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Nysa's coach Marcin Lakis rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Gimbasket (2-4) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Nysa lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Gimbasket will face Koscian (#10) on the road in the next round. Nysa will play against Miedzychod and hope to win that game.
