Very expected game in Alcantarilla where bottom-ranked Granada (0-3) was defeated by eighth ranked UCAM Jairis (3-2) 71-63 on Saturday. UCAM Jairis forced 19 Granada turnovers. Mozambican guard Clitan De-Sousa (183-96, college: OK State) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Marta Sniezek (173, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Trinidad and Tobago-Vincentian center Verdine Warner (194-92, college: Shaw) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and forward Laura Jimenez (178-97) scored 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
