No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tochigi B. (10-1) smashed on the road 8th ranked Niigata A. (4-8) 99-57 on Saturday. Tochigi B. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata A.'s 32. They outrebounded Niigata A. 40-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Niigata A.'s players. The best player for the winners was international forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Tochigi B. players scored in double figures. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and Kotaro Ohya (193-94) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Tochigi B.. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Niigata A. keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Tochigi B. will have a break next round. Niigata A. will play again at home against the league's leader Tochigi B. (#1) and hope to win that game.
