Regular Season Round 7: Ostrow Mazow. - AZS UJK 93-87

There was no surprise in Ostrow Mazowiecki where 8th ranked AZS UJK (2-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Ostrow Mazow. (4-2) 93-87 on Saturday. Ostrow Mazow. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Przemyslaw Sloniewski (193-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Ukrainian point guard Aleksander Szczerbatiuk (179-96) helped adding 20 points and 8 assists. Five Ostrow Mazow. players scored in double figures. Ostrow Mazow.'s coach Grzegorz Helcbergiel used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Konrad Nowik (191-99) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Maciej Parszewski (195-94) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Ostrow Mazow. moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser AZS UJK keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Ostrow Mazow. will face Kutno (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS UJK will play against Pabianice and hope to win that game.
