Regular Season Round 5: Zentro Basket - Carbajosa 80-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Carbajosa's (2-2) road loss to leader Zentro Basket (3-0) 70-80 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Ignacio Ballespin (194-98) who scored 17 points. Power forward Guillermo Bastante (201-98) chipped in 18 points. Five Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Point guard Arturo Cruz (184-93) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Irish guard Adrian OSullivan (188-93) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zentro Basket moved-up to third place in Silver. Carbajosa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Zentro Basket will face Marbella (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Carbajosa will play against Moron and hope to win that game.
