Regular Season Round 7: Cracovia - AZS AWF Mick. 83-85

Rather predictable result in Krakow where sixth ranked AZS AWF Mick. (4-2) edged 10th ranked Cracovia (1-4) 85-83 on Saturday. AZS AWF Mick. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Cracovia's 24. They outrebounded Cracovia 44-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cracovia was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Karol Leszczynski (190-87) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Sebastian Dabek (188-96) responded with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Olaf Bloda (193-95) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. AZS AWF Mick. moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Cracovia lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with four games lost. AZS AWF Mick. will face Rybnik (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
