Regular Season Round 4: OBA - HNMKY 73-76

Important game to mention about took place in Espoo. Third ranked HNMKY (3-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked OBA (1-3) 76-73 on Saturday evening. OBA was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Strangely OBA outrebounded HNMKY 48-36 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Nikolas Kataja (192-2) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Henri Mennander (204-3) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Gezim Bajrami (208-3) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jose Botti (192-2) scored 11 points and 4 assists. OBA's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. HNMKY moved-up to second place, which they share with Pyrinto and Tapiolan Honka. OBA at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Sykki. HNMKY will play against Kataja (#5) in Joensuu in the next round. OBA will play at home against Sykki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
