Regular Season Round 4: Artes - Tarragona ADT 87-79

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Artes as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C1. Artes defeated bottom-ranked Tarragona ADT at home 87-79. It was a key game for the top position in Group C1. Artes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Tarragona ADT was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by point guard Roger Portella (183-83) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (204-99) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even 15 points by Ruben Llanos did not help to save the game for Tarragona ADT. Sudanese center Deng Mayot (218-97) added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Valls Nutrion. Tarragona ADT at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Olivar. Tarragona ADT will play next round against strong Alpicat trying to get back on the winning streak. Artes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
