Regular Season Round 7: Stal Ostrow 2 - Rydzyna 78-79

Thirteenth-ranked Stal Ostrow 2 (0-6) gave a tough game to leader Rycerze (6-0). The visitors from Rydzyna managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Rycerze forced 19 Stal Ostrow 2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists and guard Lukasz Wojciechowski (184-88) added 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Stal Ostrow 2. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Rycerze. Newly promoted Rycerze maintains first place with 6-0 record, which they share with AZS AGH KR and Polonia Bytom. Stal Ostrow 2 lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Rycerze will have a break next round. Stal Ostrow 2 will play on the road against Pleszew (#4) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
