Very predictable result when fourth ranked Shimane Magic (6-6) won against at home 10th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (2-10) 81-74 on Sunday. San-en NeoPhoenix was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Reid Travis (203-95, college: Kentucky, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Filipino guard Ferdinand Ravena (189-96) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for San-en NeoPhoenix. Five Shimane Magic and four San-en NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. San-en NeoPhoenix's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane Magic maintains fourth position with 6-6 record, which they share with Hitachi SRT. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. Shimane Magic will face league's second-placed Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it may be the game of the week. San-en NeoPhoenix will play at home against Osaka E. (#6) and hope to win that game.
