Regular Season Round 12: Shinshu BW - Sea Horses M. 67-85

The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. Second ranked Aishin Sea Horses (8-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Shinshu BW (3-9). Aishin Sea Horses did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-67 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. North Macedonian-American center Shane Whittington (211-91, college: W.Michigan) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains second position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Tochigi B., which they share with 3 other teams. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Shimane Magic (#4) at home in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
