Regular Season Round 4: Huima - FoKoPo 72-80

There was a minor upset in Aanekoski where higher ranked Huima (2-2) was defeated by tenth ranked FoKoPo (2-2) 80-72 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Huima won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. FoKoPo forced 20 Huima turnovers. Strangely Huima outrebounded FoKoPo 49-34 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Gokul Natesan (196-94, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) fired 30 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals for the winners. The other American import forward Jerrell Martin (198-95, college: SHU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Kavaughn Scott (201-98, college: Loyola, MD) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Joni Pohjonen (203-98) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. FoKoPo moved-up to ninth place in 1st Division. FoKoPo will face league's leader HyPo in Hyvinkaa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
