Regular Season Round 6: Ponzano - Milano 71-73

Bottom-ranked Ponzano (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked Milano (3-3) 73-71 on Sunday evening. Milano forced 20 Ponzano turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Susanna Toffali (178-98) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian forward Karmen Cicic (185-94) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Costanza Miccoli (181-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and guard Federica Iannucci (171-93) added 23 points and 6 assists respectively. Four Ponzano players scored in double figures. Milano moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Ponzano still closes the standings with six games lost. Milano will meet San Martino (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Ponzano will play against Alpo in Verona and hopes to get finally their first victory.
