Regular Season Round 4: Baskonia B - Solares 73-75

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Solares (2-1) edged on the road bottom-ranked Baskonia B (0-2) 75-73 on Sunday. They outrebounded Baskonia B 42-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-British center Kaj-Bjorn Sherman (213-92, college: UTSA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and forward Sergio Garcia (195-95) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side French Sidy Cissoko (195) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Senegalese forward Pape-Ablaye Sow (203-3) scored 16 points. Baskonia B's coach Miguel Angel Hoyo tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Solares moved-up to second place in Group A-A. Loser Baskonia B still closes the standings with two games lost. Solares will face Mondragon (#5) at home in the next round. Baskonia B will play against Ardoi (#3) in Zizur Mayor and hopes to get finally their first victory.
