Regular Season Round 8: AZS PO - Czarni 70-92

Very expected game in Opole where 10th ranked AZS PO (2-4) was rolled over by second ranked Czarni (6-1) 92-70 on Sunday. Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PO's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 assists. Hubert Pabian (201-89, agency: Promotex) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Czarni players scored in double figures. Point guard Adam Brenk (193-95) produced 14 points and 8 assists and Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Czarni maintains second position with 6-1 record having just one point less than leader Tychy. Loser AZS PO dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. Czarni will face Pruszkow (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PO will play against Miasto Szkla in Krosno and hope to win that game.
