Important game to mention about took place in . Seventh ranked Gladiadores (3-2) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Llaneros (2-2) 73-72 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Llaneros. International power forward Eliezer Montano (206-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Jesus Martinez (206-86) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Gladiadores players scored in double figures. The former international forward Tulio Cobos (197-86, college: Northeastern St.) came up with 19 points and 4 steals and forward Jose Martinez (196-82) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Llaneros in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Gladiadores moved-up to sixth place. Llaneros at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Gladiadores will play against league's second-placed Guaiqueries in Porlamar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Llaneros will play at home against the league's leader Gigantes (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
