There was a minor upset in Sopot where their close opponent Slask (8-4) was rolled over by sixth ranked Trefl (9-6) 79-60 on Tuesday. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Trefl looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international center Dominik Olejniczak (213-96, college: FSU) fired 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard TJ Haws (193-95, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Ramljak (203-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trefl moved-up to fourth place. Loser Slask dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Trefl will have a break next round. Slask will play on the road against MKS DG (#15) in Dabrowa Gornicza and hope to win that game.
