Another interesting game for SKY/Basquete which played on the court of Campo Mourao. SKY/Basquete had an easy win 74-61. SKY/Basquete dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Mourao's 22. American guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Coastal, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Dontrell Brite (175-94, college: Mount Olive) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Stefano Pierotti (185-98) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and center Lucao Moraes (210-94) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKY/Basquete will play against Minas in Belo Horizonte in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Campo Mourao will play on the road against Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro to get more than just one victory in their record.
