Regular Season Round 6: Brillantes - Cangrejeros 68-65

Brillantes can celebrate finally their first win this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Cangrejeros (2-4) 68-65 on Tuesday. Brillantes forced 19 Cangrejeros turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Raymond Rada (194-97) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Luis Palacios (201-1) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Leonardo Cappare (185-80) who recorded 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Jesus Ramos (187-97) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Brillantes (1-4) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Broncos. It was Cangrejeros' third loss in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Brillantes will face higher ranked Gladiadores (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
