Regular Season Round 8: Ura Basket - Pyrinto 113-132

Bottom-ranked Ura Basket is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Pyrinto (6-2) 132-113. The game was mostly controlled by Pyrinto. Ura Basket was better in third quarter 39-32. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Pyrinto shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marcus Lewis (196-92, college: EKU) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!) and 6 assists and Brady Skeens (201-95, college: Washburn) who added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Pyrinto's coach Miikka Sopanen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard KeVaughn Allen (188-95, college: Florida) responded with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kevin Bracy-Davis (201-95, college: Davis & Elkins) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Pyrinto and four Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Pyrinto moved-up to second place. Ura Basket at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Pyrinto will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ura Basket will play at home against Kataja (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
