Regular Season Round 6: Broncos - Condores 74-64

Broncos can celebrate finally their first win this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Condores (0-6) 74-64. Broncos forced 25 Condores turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. International point guard Garly Sojo (196-99) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Junior Martinez (200-92) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Broncos players scored in double figures. Even 21 points by swingman Melvin Zambrano (193-95) did not help to save the game for Condores. Center Peter Kvietek (205-77) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broncos (1-4) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Brillantes. It was Condores' sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Broncos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Bucaneros (#5) in La Guaira and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Condores will play against Supersonicos (#8) and hope to get finally their first victory.
