Regular Season Round 9: Krosno - AZS PO 89-75

There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Miasto Szkla (2-2) won against 11th ranked AZS PO (2-5) in Krosno 89-75 on Wednesday. They outrebounded AZS PO 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. AZS PO was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Alan Czujkowski (199-90, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Dariusz Oczkowicz (182-81) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Miasto Szkla players scored in double figures. Point guard Adam Brenk (193-95) answered with 24 points and power forward Andrzej Krajewski (200-0) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AZS PO. Miasto Szkla moved-up to tenth place. AZS PO lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Miasto Szkla will face higher ranked Pelplin (#8) in Pelpin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS PO will play at home against Pruszkow (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
