Regular Season Round 9: Walbrzych - Tychy 84-68

First defeat of league's leader Tychy (6-1) against fourth ranked Gornik (6-2) 84-68 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Tychy. It was a good game for guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-86, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. Forward Maciej Bojanowski (200-96) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Przemyslaw Wrona (205-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Patryk Kedel (201-99) added 9 points in the effort for Tychy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik moved-up to third place. Tychy at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Czarni. Tychy will play next round against Wisla Krakow trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Gornik will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Klodzko on the road.
