Regular Season Round 7: Gorizont 2 - Victoria 56-51

Gorizont 2's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Victoria (2-4) 56-51. Victoria was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 32-23 second half run of Gorizont 2. They also forced 25 Victoria turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Maria Trofimenkova (170-2) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ksenia Novikova (185-92) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side center Polina Domenyk (186-5) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and forward Elizaveta Shyshliuk (178-5) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Victoria's coach Viktoryia Datsun tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gorizont 2 (1-4) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Victoria at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Gorizont 2 will play against higher ranked Olimpia (#3) in Grodno in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Victoria will play on the road against COR Victoria in Brest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
