Regular Season Round 7: Gladiadores - Brillantes 74-61

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Gladiadores (4-3) beat at home 10th ranked Brillantes (1-5) 74-61. Gladiadores forced 22 Brillantes turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. International power forward Eliezer Montano (206-91) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Jhon Romero (199-85) chipped in 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Raymond Rada (194-97) produced 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Luis Palacios (201-1) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiadores moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bucaneros. Brillantes at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Gladiadores' next round opponent will be Cangrejeros (#10) in Maturin which should be theoretically an easy game. Brillantes will play at home against Gigantes and hope to win that game.
