Rather expected game when 6th ranked COR Victoria (1-5) was smashed by fourth ranked Olimpia (4-2) in Grodno 102-57 on Thursday. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to COR Victoria's 30. Olimpia forced 28 COR Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by COR Victoria's players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Katsiaryna Karpuk (185-99) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Five Olimpia players scored in double figures. Forward Anastasia Babak (180-2) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Daria Panasyuk (176-96) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for COR Victoria in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpia moved-up to third place. Loser COR Victoria dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Olimpia will meet at home Gorizont 2 (#6) in the next round. COR Victoria will play against Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
