Regular Season Round 5: Alicante - Huesca 84-50

Undefeated leader HLA Alicante delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Huesca (1-3) 84-50. HLA Alicante dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Huesca's 30. HLA Alicante forced 25 Huesca turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Huesca was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Jorge Bilbao (203-95, college: UT Arlington) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Pedro Llompart (187-82) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. HLA Alicante's coach Pedro Rivero felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Jorge Lafuente (197-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Luis Parejo (194-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points in the effort for Huesca.
