The game between Top Four teams took place in Helsinki. Leader host Seagulls (8-0) smashed 4th placed KTP Basket (5-3) 94-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KTP Basket. The game without a history. Seagulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded KTP Basket 41-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Wayne Martin (201-93, college: TSU) stepped up and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Kendale McCullum (194-96, college: Lewis, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 11 points and 15 assists. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Braxton Huggins (196-96, college: Fresno St., agency: One Motive Sports) scored 17 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Seagulls have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. KTP Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Kauhajoki and Lahti. Seagulls are looking forward to face Kataja (#8) in Joensuu in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KTP Basket will play at home against Lahti (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
