The game in Madrid supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Granada (4-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Real Canoe (1-3). Granada smashed Real Canoe 94-68 on Friday. Granada shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) who scored 23 points. American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 19 points. American guard Connor Toolson (193-94, college: Utah Valley) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds and British power forward Daniel Clark (210-88) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Granada maintains third place in Gold with 4-1 record having just five point less than leader Breogan. Loser Real Canoe dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Granada will face Girona (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Canoe will play against Real Murcia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
