Regular Season Round 14: Ryukyu GK - Shinshu BW 66-73

Top ranked Ryukyu GK (11-3) recorded its third loss in Okinawa on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Shinshu BW (5-9) 73-66. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. The best player for the winners was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) chipped in 13 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Ryukyu GK's coach Hiroki Fujita rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shinshu BW have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Chiba J.. Shinshu BW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ryukyu GK will play again at home against Shinshu BW and is hoping to win this game.
