Regular Season Round 5: Paterna - Aldaia 81-47

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Aldaia (1-3) was outplayed on the road by third ranked Paterna (4-1) 81-47 on Saturday. Paterna outrebounded Aldaia 48-28 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Pablo Matarredona (197-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ricardo Carrion (197-91) produced 7 points and guard Diego Belarte (183-92) added 8 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paterna maintains third place in Group E-A with 4-1 record having just five point less than leader Mataro. Loser Aldaia dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Paterna will face Torrent (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Aldaia will play against L'Alcora and hope to win that game.
