Regular Season Round 5: LoKoKo Bisons - Oulun Bball 79-70

Very predictable result when leader LoKoKo Bisons (5-0) won against 9th ranked Oulun Bball (1-3) in Loimaa 79-70 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-14. But Oulun Bball won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oulun Bball was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Forward Jalen Canty (203-95, college: UCSB) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Matthew Gibson (190-84) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Power forward Kai Mitchell (201-97, college: SHSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and guard Jaycee Hillsman (200-96, college: Illinois St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Oulun Bball. LoKoKo Bisons maintains second place in 1st Division with 5-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Kristika Turku. Loser Oulun Bball keeps the ninth position with three games lost. LoKoKo Bisons will face MuKi (#10) in Helsinki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oulun Bball will play at home against HBA-Marsky and hope to win that game.
