Regular Season Round 6: Carbajosa - Moron 84-48

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Carbajosa (3-2) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Moron (0-2) 84-48 on Saturday. Carbajosa dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Moron's 30. They outrebounded Moron 40-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. Carbajosa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Moron's players. It was a good game for center Pablo Roman (206-95) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-97, agency: Duran International) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Carbajosa's coach Jesus Gutierrez felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Jose-Antonio Marco (179-89) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Alejandro Rodriguez (200-98) added 14 points in the effort for Moron. Carbajosa moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Loser Moron still closes the standings with two games lost. Carbajosa will face higher ranked Juaristi ISB (#3) in Azpeitia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Moron will play at home against Marbella (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
