Regular Season Round 6: Jazine - Kastela 86-73

Everything could happen in Zadar at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Jazine and 5th ranked Kastela had identical 3-2 record. This time Jazine used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Kastela Sucurac 86-73 on Saturday night. Jazine dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kastela's 36. 25 personal fouls committed by Kastela helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American center Jalone Friday (206-96, college: NM State) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Dino Butorac (191-90) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Jazine players scored in double figures. Center Frano Marasovic (214-92) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Lovre Tvrdic (194-0) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kastela. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jazine maintains fourth position with 4-2 record. Kastela lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Jazine are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Sesvete (#12) in Zagreb in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kastela will play at home against the league's second-placed Bulldogs (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
