Regular Season Round 5: Westside - Pyrinto 51-49

Important game to mention about took place in Espoo. Sixth ranked Westside (3-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Pyrinto (3-2) 51-49 in the game for the fourth place. It looked good early as Pyrinto took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Westside had a 18-12 second period charge getting the lead and Pyrinto was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 49-51. Westside forced 19 Pyrinto turnovers. Guard Tatu Lehtisyrja (199-2) nailed 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and guard Ossi Nurmi (185-2) accounted for 4 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Arttu Kiviranta (203-3) came up with 6 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kion Williams (185-3) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Pyrinto in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Westside moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Pyrinto. Westside will play against Kataja (#7) in Joensuu in the next round. Pyrinto will play at home against the league's second-placed JBA Gradia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
