Regular Season Round 5: Corazon - CBSFDO 92-80

Everything went according to plan in Caceres where first ranked Corazon (4-2) won against bottom-ranked CBSFDO (0-3) 92-80 on Saturday. Corazon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to CBSFDO's 28. They outrebounded CBSFDO 52-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. CBSFDO was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Dominican Jaison Colome (190-96) who scored 31 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian power forward Luka Kraljic (206-99, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Jaime Macias (190-93) produced 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Juan-Jose Morales (-0) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Corazon and five CBSFDO players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Corazon have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Corazon maintains first place in Group D-B with 4-2 record. Loser CBSFDO still closes the standings with three games lost. Corazon will face league's second-placed Huelva CD on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CBSFDO will play against Xerez (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
