Regular Season Round 10: Pyrinto - Kobrat 95-93

Tenth-ranked Kobrat (2-7) made lots of trouble for third ranked Pyrinto (7-2) in Tampere on Wednesday. Pyrinto managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 33-29 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Pyrinto dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kobrat's 28. American guard Marcus Lewis (196-92, college: EKU) fired 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import Brady Skeens (201-95, college: Washburn) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard Justin Pierce (201-98, college: UNC) produced 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) added 18 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. Four Kobrat players scored in double figures. Pyrinto have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Kobrat lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Pyrinto will have a break next round. Kobrat will play at home against KTP Basket (#6) and hope to win that game.
