Regular Season Round 10: KTP Basket - Lahti 85-91

The biggest surprise of round 10 in Korisliiga was guest Lahti's (6-3) road victory over KTP Basket (#6) 91-85 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Lahti made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Canadian guard Wayne McCullough (195-94, college: CCU) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brandon Peel (201-94, college: CCSU) chipped in 8 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Joe Burton (203-90, college: Oregon St., agency: GoEmpire Group) produced 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) added 16 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lahti moved-up to third place, which they share with Nokia and Kauhajoki. KTP Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Vilpas. Lahti is looking forward to face Kataja (#8) in Joensuu in the next round where they are favorite. KTP Basket will play on the road against Kobrat in Lapua and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
