Leader Hapoel Jerusalem blasted bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa (0-3) in Jerusalem 111-77 on Thursday evening keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. Maccabi Haifa is still unable to win any game. Hapoel Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) accounted for 24 points. Five Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. American swingman Chris Dowe (189-91, college: Bellarmine, agency: GoEmpire Group) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Maccabi Haifa in the defeat. Maccabi Haifa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They moved-up to third place. Maccabi Haifa lost their third game in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Hapoel Holon (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Haifa will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv and hopes to get finally their first victory.
