Thirteenth-ranked Gran Canaria (2-9) gave a tough game to sixth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (7-4) in Madrid. ASEFA Estudiantes managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected much easier game. Argentinian power forward Agostina Burani (186-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points.
