Regular Season Round 6: Team Pajulahti - Raholan P. 70-83

There was no surprise in Lahti where 14th ranked Team Pajulahti (1-6) was defeated by eleventh ranked Raholan P. (3-4) 83-70 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Raholan P.. Team Pajulahti was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Team Pajulahti 42-26 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Raholan P. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Lauri Tiainen (193-90) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Antti Ahonen (195-1) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Raholan P. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Sami Ikavalko (187-89) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and guard Arttu Nykanen (187-2) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Raholan P. moved-up to ninth place in 1st Division. Newly promoted Team Pajulahti dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Raholan P. will face higher ranked PeU-Basket (#8) in Pernio in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Team Pajulahti will play on the road against HyPo (#7) in Hyvinkaa and hope to win that game.
