There was no surprise in Sao Paulo where Cerrado was defeated by Paulistano 72-61 on Friday. Paulistano had a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Maique Tavares (210-93) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Felipe Ruivo (188-98) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists during the contest. The former international center Bruno Fiorotto (208-84) responded with 13 points and American JC Fuller (194-94, college: W.Illinois, agency: Slash Sports) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paulistano will have a break next round. Cerrado will play at home against Caxias do Sul and hope to win that game.
