Regular Season Round 8: Norrkoping - Koping Stars 87-79

Basketligan top team - Norrkoping Dolphins (6-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Koping Stars (3-5) 87-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Koping Stars. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Koping Stars won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Koping Stars 47-29 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Koping Stars were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Adam Ramstedt (208-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Phil Carr (203-95, college: Morgan St.) who added 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. American point guard CJ Jackson (185-96, college: Ohio St.) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Jonah Radebaugh (190-97, college: N.Colorado) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins maintains first position with 6-2 record. Koping Stars at the other side keep the seventh place with five games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Nassjo (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Koping Stars will play against SBBK (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
