Regular Season Round 8: Vigarano - Costa Masnaga 76-92

Bottom-ranked Vigarano (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to eighth ranked Costa Masnaga (4-3) 92-76 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Beatrice Del-Pero (180-99) who scored 34 points (!!!). American center Jaisa Nunn (190-97, college: N.Mexico) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. American forward JaTavia Tapley (191-97, college: ASU) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Elisa Policari (185-97) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Vigarano players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Costa Masnaga have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Vigarano still closes the standings with five games lost. Costa Masnaga will meet at home Sassari (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Vigarano will play against Empoli and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
