Regular Season Round 7: Estela - Zentro Basket 91-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Zentro Basket (4-1) in Santander on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Estela (5-0) 91-80. It was a key game for the top position in Silver. Estela looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Equatorial Guinean forward Walter Cabral (200-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard William Perry (180-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Estela players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Guillermo Bastante (201-98) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian Agustin Barreiro (203-99) scored 18 points. Estela maintains first place in Silver with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Estela are looking forward to face Alcobendas (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zentro Basket will play against Moron (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
