Regular Season Round 9: MKS DG 2 - AZS PWSTE 93-84

Very expected game when 9th ranked AZS PWSTE (3-5) lost to fifth ranked MKS DG 2 (5-2) in Dabrowa Gornicza 84-93 on Saturday. MKS DG 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-3) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Karol Jagoda (195-1) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Cezary Guminski (192-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and Artur Mikolajko (196-79) added 23 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for AZS PWSTE. Five MKS DG 2 and four AZS PWSTE players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MKS DG 2 moved-up to fourth place in Group C. AZS PWSTE lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. MKS DG 2 will face Cracovia (#11) in Krakow in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PWSTE will play on the road against AZS PS Gliwice and hope to win that game.
